Robyn graduated from Massey University in 1986 initially working in Clevedon and East Tamaki area as a farm vet before moving to the UK with her husband for several years. Robyn has been working in the South Auckland area for the last 12 years as a companion animal vet. Robyn was brought up on a dairy farm in Clevedon. Her family, the Lanes, have lived in Clevedon since the early settlement days. Robyn is an examiner for the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and on the New Zealand committee of the College. She is a trustee of the charity Healthy Pets New Zealand which supports research into improved health and welfare for New Zealand pets. She completed her Masters in companion animal internal medicine (MVM) through Massey in 2011. Her research for her Masters thesis developed a novel surgical treatment for skin cancer on cats’ noses. She has a particular interest in internal medicine and dermatology. In her spare time (when she has any) she enjoys gardening, tramping or preferably a good book and glass of wine.
