Legally vets must only provide prescription medication for animals who are ‘in their care’. The time between exams must not exceed 6 months and for some medications we may need to see your animal more regularly and perform monitoring such as blood and or urine tests. Supply of medication is always at veterinary discretion and will depend on factors such as when your pet was last examined, antibiotic stewardship, monitoring requirements and drug safety.
